I'm a penguin!

A beautiful crisp winter's day ...... blue sky & sunshine ..... barely a breath of wind :-)

A lovely afternoon walk ...... it was rather chilly in the shaded areas but lovely in the sun :-)

This Black-headed gull (in winter plumage) looked as if he was trying to do a penguin impression ..... rather fun :-)

As you can see from the image on the right there was a lot of ice about ..... this was at least 1inch (2.5 - 3cm) thick! Brrr! It had been a puddle that something had driven over & shattered.

The bottom image is the field with several Lapwing visible ..... there were quite a large number spread out across the field ..... lovely to see :-)

We also watched a pair of squirrels ..... one chasing the other & then copulating ..... I guess spring is in the air!
