Grey Heron
The youngest male heron was waiting for me this morning on the grass. I started feeding him right away as I knew he would get chased when the aggressive female arrived. She was there almost immediately and chased him. I fed the aggressive female then made my way around the path. The passive female was there and got a good feed (although I didn't get a decent shot) as was the regular male who also got his share. They all got spooked by a guy pushing a push chair and took off. I made my way to the clearing and the passive one was waiting as was the youngest male but he was out on the ice. I manage to feed them both what I had left (it was challenging throwing to the young one on the ice but he got some). Then it was feeding the crows on the road home. The shot is the young male on the ice.
