Party Time

A week after the last performance, those members of the Panto cast and crew who could make it, gathered at the Eagle and Child in Staveley last night for a meal, several drinks and a chance to chat about another successful show. A very pleasant evening - great food and excellent company.
After a leisurely start this morning, Mrs C and I set off to Chester around lunchtime. A fuss free journey and we are now relaxing in the flat before heading out for this evening’s entertainment. It’s also a chance to put a load of washing on, as the pipes in the garage at home were still frozen this morning, despite the overall temperature having warmed up a bit. Hopefully all will be unfrozen by the time we get back on Tuesday.
The plan for tomorrow is a trip to Liverpool for some retail therapy and also to pay a second visit to the British Music Experience. We went last February, under the last of the covid restrictions, and were told that our tickets were valid for repeat visits over the following twelve months. Haven’t really had a chance until now to get back there, but it seems a shame to waste the offer and it might be nice to see what the exhibition looks like when not viewing it through glasses steamed up from wearing a mask!
