The Mantleclock

Today it's very dull, damp and not very inviting to go out for a walk so this image is the result of indoor experimentation.  I noticed this clock in my dinning room and its reflections.  The clock is quite old, a wedding present to my parents in 1939 and I remember it from my childhood.  My approach was to open the lens up and increase the ISO to 1600.  At full resolution there was quite a bit of digital noise, but no-one else will see it at full resolution.  An accurate colour of the wood and grain has been rendered.  Hopefully tomorrow the weather will be better.
