Anniversary buffet

Icy mornings left us wondering if it would be a parkrun cancellation this week but an early course inspection and we were able to go ahead.  It was Yvonne's birthday and her 250th and would have been extra sad if we'd needed to cancel.  The ice didn't cause any incidents but someone did take a fall and likely broke her ankle.  Breakfast in town was disappointing and then it was a 1 year wedding anniversary  An early pub crawl was good although we ended nkt crawling at all as we were warm and comfortable in the first place we stopped at.  We'd booked a table at a Chinese restaurant for 7.30 and, having quickly ordered a set menu expected to be out by 9 ish with a taxi booked for 9.30.  Taxis ate.quite hard to get around here and not moveable. I had to ask for our main course to be boxed up at 9.15 as it hadn't arrived. It was also too late for me to want to eat by then too. We won't be going there again in a hurry.
