A Unique Mural

This is the Maypole Inn in Warley Town on the outskirts of Halifax.
It has this unusual and unique mural painted on the wall.
The original mural was painted in 1970. Over time it faded and peeled and because no-one would finance its upkeep it was boarded over (in 2010 I think) and the boards were painted the same colour as the rest of the inn.
Following a public outcry the boards were taken down and in 2011 the mural was restored to its original glory by artist Craig Ainge.
A victory for people power :-)
(I think the telephone box needs a dose of the same t.l.c.)
