Bay laurel

We went up to the allotment early and put in a decent length shift; although of course the work is never finished. The little bay tree in the back border, Laurus nobilis, is covered with tiny fragrant blossoms. Hey, there are wee bugs on the flowers that I only just spotted when uploading - having zoomed in I think they're ants. Sipping delicious nectar, perhaps?

Later I removed the temporary double glazing from two of the windows in the flat and cleaned the glass - a difficult and exhausting task that demands a certain degree of gymnastic skill. The subsequent clear view out is worth it, although the weather still isn't really warm enough to do without the extra insulation.

It'll be an early night in preparation for a wee excursion tomorrow. I'm hoping for puffins...
