Frozen memories

We got a new birdbath late last year and the birds don’t seem to like it for bathing. Drinking yes, but no sparrow splashing, blackbird flutterbaths or pigeon wallowing. We thought it might be due to the white colour; the only birdbath in the garden centre. So we’ve experimented with some stones in the base.

Now that the water is frozen, the stones are captured in bubbles. These are stones we’ve collected on walks & holidays, so each is a memory.
