Leeks
Today's the day ...................... for winter greens
So good to have these leeks growing in the garden at this time of the year - and to be able to go out and get one or two, as they are needed.
They were planted as small seedlings in the autumn and somehow they manage to keep growing through all the minus temperatures that we have had recently. I use them in soups and casseroles - and there really is nothing like the taste of veg freshly picked from the garden.
And if there are any left by March 1st (St David's Day) - they'll definitely be used for something - Welsh .....................!
