Protest

First protest of the year. So many themes were covered including: inequality, female farmers, harm to insects, unseasonal food from far afield and interesting speakers. I was reminded of the connectedness of everything. Loved the parade of tractors past the Brandenburger Tor, very unexpected and I suspect not to be seen again for a while. While I don't agree that shopping is like voting there is an increasing feeling of responsibility to both shop sustainably but also vocally. Shopping at a market costs more, as does the butcher ect. Having enough money to make these choices in these times of hardship feels like a luxury. I would like to see a shift from personal responsibility towards what both governments and the food industry can do to ensure there is enough food for all.

On the pig balloons it means both let's the pigs be free or let's go wild.
