Seeing Beyond Looking

Colourful Temperatures

I decided to make another temperature blanket this year! The last one I made was in 2020. The aim is to follow the highest and lowest temperatures of each day of the year (I follow an excellent weather site) and choose appropriate colours to represent those temperatures.  The middle part of the granny square is the coldest and the outside, second round, is the warmest part of each day. I'm joining the mini squares with a neutral silver grey.

On the top part of the collage, you can see me joining the squares. On my lap is the 2020 temperature blanket keeping me warm! There's an icy wind blowing today.  The lower part of the collage shows the paper that I note all the temperatures on and the first finished squares. The lower right of the collage are the first 19 squares being joined. That will be the width of the blanket.

It's perfect crochet weather today and is freezing outside and actually minus 2C, but it must feel much lower with the wind factor.

We bought some cheese to make a fondue tomorrow. It smells wonderful!  You might see a picture of my red  caquelon (fondue pot)! It will make us feel all cosy and warm!

Wishing everyone a really lovely weekend!
