Arran view
Gill and I weren't the only ones to enjoy a refreshing walk on Troon beach this morning before heading for Stobo Castle near Peebles.
Unlike the two recent Troon blips today was beautifully clear despite the cloudy sky, giving us a lovely view of the Isle of Arran across the Firth of Clyde. You might even see Goat Fell, the island's highest point, with a dusting of snow.
We are now ensconced in our room in one of the turrets of the castle, swithering whether to go for a swim, a session in the gym or a walk round the Japanese gardens before dinner. Decisions, decisions...
