Hazel prey

This is one of the many squirrels living on the Green - a place Hazel and I cross most days on our walk.  They live largely on the sweet chestnuts that even now are scattered through the grass.  Hazel always has to stay on the lead at this point as her favourite occupation is stalking them then, as they shoot up a tree, getting hysterical!  She wasn't with me when I took this shot, I parked her at home and came out again.

The rest of the day's been pretty well wasted, but cheerfully.  You were all so kind yesterday and left so many lovely messages.  I do thank you!
