Twenty five minutes to KO

An early start as the SK was off for a spa day - and some fekker’s dog had dropped its not inconsiderable load at our back gate. Where it had been trod on. Out with trowel, buckets of hot water and the big brush. Shotgun next time.
Then off for a good haircut. Well, good, in that it was a bit more than the “tidy up” of last time. After, straight to the boatyard as there was a work party but it had morphed into a tea drinking and yacking session up in the Bell Block. Suited me well.
Later off to Tynecastle for the “six pointer” with Aberdeen. And .. really… 4-0 up at half time!? We only scored one more in the 2nd half but it could have been worse for them despite only having about six shots on target. So it was a boisterous and convivial crew that packed into the Diggers. So convivial that I missed my bus. I tell you, it’s a different world walking along Rose St at midnight now - there used to be open bars and live music. Now all shut up. And the buses are all part-route. Still, a walk home from there was rather enjoyable. Apart from bursting for a no2*
