Diary of an Edinburgher

GO! Andy…

I watched a bit of Andy Murray’s match this morning after taking Archie out. It got to the third set, he was two sets down and struggling, I could see he was going to lose, so I left and went to the gym. How wrong could I be! A couple of hours later, in the gym, I happened to check the final score, and the game was still on LIVE, in the fifth set! I rushed home and caught most of the final set. What an amazing match. I was SO pleased he won. And his much younger opponent had more than three times as many aces than him.

Yes, I did go to the gym. As I was half-heartedly cycling, Jordie, one of the gym staff members came to say hello. He likes to come and encourage me, which is nice. I know what I’m doing isn’t much good - I need to be working on my CORE, says JR. So I asked him for some suggestions. He showed me a few on some new contraptions, and one that I’ve been doing, but not correctly. So I will include them in my circuit ‘going forward’… (hate that phrase)

Other news today - Jacinda Ardern has announced her retirement from politics. Good on her - go and get married (she hasn’t had time) take your wee girl to school, and have a quiet life (until the UN come calling in a few years…) The haters are piling in. Who’d want to be in the public eye?

Archie and I found these chairs today. We were very tempted…
