Off horizontal lines

A beautiful start to the morning. It was the bands of colour between the blue sky, grey cloud and hillside along with the bright sun light behind the conifer that I hoped to capture. Later I noticed the natural frame on either side. We love the gradual greening of the birch trees, possibly never so gradual as this year. It is a cold day with occasional showers and lots of sunshine.
