A charm of goldfinches

A small group of 5 or 6 goldfinches were feasting on the dried seeds on a lavender bush today. I was excited as I haven't seen any here before. I took many many shots through the window so as not to disturb them and this is the one I like best.

According to google "Charm" is from the old English c'irm, describing the birds' twittering song - not their personalities.


The extra is a rather handsome starling who also visited
