Road out of town
Took a slow walk around the block and down to the shop in todays cold winter sunshine. While the weather today was similar to yesterday, the days themselves couldn't be different.
Yesterday was dad's funeral. Sad though it these occasions are, it was much worse because we had to hold the funeral without mum who is now very ill in hospital following a fall due to the early stages of pneumonia the day before New Years Eve. The last three weeks have been very hard having to deal with the two issues at the same time. Not having mum at the funeral after 67 years of marriage was so painful it is hard to describe.
Still - We managed to give dad a good send off despite the sorrow.
Today was an opportunity for a little decompression after yesterday.
The photos are from the decompression time.
As is often become the case, I was again stopped by a complete stranger who wanted to say thanks for the photos the immediate area that I often post on a forum on Facebook. Nice to be recognised.
