Aprazivel
We went up to Santa Teresa to one of our favourite restaurants, Aprazivel, for lunch. The taxi ride up took us through the smaller of the windy broken cobbled routes up Corcovada. The cab was so low on fuel (multiple warnings flashing) and the inclines so steep that I wondered if the little amount of petrol left sloshing in the tank would reach the outlet into the engine!
This lunch setting is nearly perfect with its fazenda feel, rain forest aromas and broad vistas. On the way back, we walked around the ever-more safe, small heart of Santa Teresa and bought a wall piece with a Holy Spirit dove on it before some wonderful samba on the seafront to round of a marvellous day in the marvellous city - see extras.
