Coming Clean

WEDNESDAY - North Wales

More snow overnight and another day at the new house. The roads were a bit tricky first thing and I had to get the shovel out of the boot and clear snow under the car wheels once we had left the gritted lanes.

David and Dewi from Denbigh Locksmiths arrived before 09:00 and fitted new high security locks to the front, rear and balcony doors along with new door handles and a new letter box.

Andrew and his team from "The Clean Police" arrived shortly afterwards and set about a thorough clean of the house including a steam clean of all surfaces including the walls and ceilings. They will be coming back at the weekend to finish the remaining two rooms.

I kept out of the cleaners' way and busied myself removing curtain rails and carpet gripper strips in the rooms that were accessible.

We went out this evening for a meal at the Dinorben Arms in Bodfari.
