Birth Canal

This was one of the possibles for yesterday's blip but the heron won out. I trotted down by the riverside again specifically seeking out this particular bud, hoping against all hope that it had not wholly burst out of its bud casing as the lovely 's' curve of the the tightly packed leaves would be gone for ever. It was still there intact though a little further out of the bud. One of the marvels of nature ! And I can share it with you.
