But Just In Case

My Dear Princess and Dear Fellow,

"You seem to be sure you've caught it," said Caro. "I'm positive I won't and I think that makes a difference."

Actually this was a little unfair. I was just suggesting to Caro that we do the big chores (like changing the catboxes) while we were feeling well.

But just in case.

Right now, I'm feeling pretty well. I'm checking for those signs of an on-coming cold and nothing thus far.

However, it would be foolish to discount the possibility of our getting COVID. Caro has been tracking the progress of "The Tauranga Party Pandemic" and so far we have 10 confirmed and 1 likely case.

She's tracked it back to a member of the bar staff who tested positive the day after Caro's party.

So today we went to the supermarket (masked) and picked up the essentials of bread, eggs, milk etc as well as things like ice blocks.

Just in case.

Briar also texted to say that she would be happy to deliver groceries if we get sick. This is incredibly sweet of her considering she doesn't even live in Wellington but on the other side of it from us. Caro was touched and invited her around for the weekend, once we're better.

CATS AND BIRDS AND HEDGEHOGS texted Briar, excitedly.

The rest of my day was pretty quiet. I had a meeting with our delivery manager who explained Kiwibank's way of doing things. BA's (she said) shouldn't get into the technical detail or even any detail at all because "Agile".

Which makes no sense but hey they pay me anyway.

It was followed by a meeting with our technical team who told us that they need more technical detail from the BA team. I explained to them what the delivery manager explained to me and we agreed it makes no sense.

I suggested they take it up with Delivery Manager.

I'm not sure if that's me rocking the boat or throwing people under the bus. Maybe I threw the Delivery Manager under the boat.

They pay me anyway.
