Fieldfare

Very unusual to see a single fieldfare let alone one in the garden. It had found what was left of an apple core.

I put out another full apple & then watched from the comfort of a seat the fieldfare munching away.

It was even chasing some of the resident blackbirds.

Interesting to watch & made things a bit better for that time.

Normally see the fieldfares, redwings & starlings migrating thru the trees & local parks but unsual to see a single one in the garden. Hope it can stock up in enough food before continuing on its journey.

Plumbers back to do a small repair on condensing pipe. Hopefully, that's it for the year!
