Black tunnel to beyond

It all started out so well. A summery breakfast al fresco, some bicycle maintenance and then out into the sun....which lasted all of 2 minutes. By the time this photo was taken the heavens had opened and the gales were brewing, and we'd gone back 5 months to the depths of a winter. Did someone say ice age?
