Roof Ribbons

About an inch or so of snow fell yesterday and it is now sliding off the roof in long ribbons.  It looks like a pure white, extra-large version of my vegan bacon!  It made me smile.  It is so good to have the new roof on the house.  I remember when I bought the house in 1995, it was in a sorry state.  I talked to my dad about it and his advice was, "Fix the roof first.  Everything else can wait."  This roof, at the time, was fairly new but I set about replacing all the rest.  A year or so ago it was time for this one and it is doing its snow shedding job beautifully.  It will have a lot to do next week as it looks like day after day of snow.
