With mountains like these

By Sollergirl

Dougal dropped in

for a quick nap on my lap in his shades.

The boys had an extra day holiday for the Fironet, but they had to muck in a bit. First thing we picked up the paper. I did get a front page shot above Obama and Cameron, but having no editorial control is a bit weird sometimes. So is not being paid. I then had a Palma appointment and shortly after that Little Agu had a little strop (getting a bit common at the moment) so we went back to Soller as a "NO!" to my plan for a fun afternoon unfortunately.

Then all was distracted by a donkey really stuck in barbed wire. A man by the side of the road flagged us down. He was disappointed "I wasn't a man to help him lift the donkey out" of its situation, so while he flagged down another car with a man in it, I started to help the donkey climb itself out of the barbed wire. When the men came back, they were a bit surprised to not have to construct an elaborate winching system or to flex their muscles too much and even seemed to enjoy being instructed as to what to do to get the poor thing back in to its very badly made pound. Guy no 2 got that one sussed by lifting the fence, so in a way... eagle eyed man 1, donkey knot undoer me and fence lifter 3 got the wonky donkey back in with very few cuts and bruises. Oh except man no. 1 got his foot trodden on for his troubles. No camera quick enough, the donkey shot off with its horse mate inside the pound with a wink and a flick of its hoof.

Back in town we found a Dougal and Georgie needing a good walk (and nap)and then Dim sum for tea from the lovely Chinese supermarket man in Porto Pi.

It feels like Sunday night. What a short week!
