Family fun

Nick wasn't able to be with us today, as he didn't have the holiday off work, but Sarah brought Charlie along for company and he had a lovely relaxing time (see Extra.)  The trains were the focus of interest for the boys and their father, who put together a beautiful town and tracks (Extra.)  Sam played with the train set until he and Max together took it apart.  Something I found exciting today is that Max is starting to be interested in letters.  He and Lex were reading the construction vehicles book and for the first time he pointed at the letters on each page and asked her what they were, so he learned lower case and upper case as concepts.  I mostly rested and took photos, as I'm still feeling weak and tired.
