The duck run

Every year at about this time, when the weather is warming up and there's very little breeze, the plastic ducks swim back upstream to their spawning grounds.

Rather like Salmon, this migration offers rich picking for the unscrupulous gourmands who chase the poor ducks into the waiting nets. There'll be crunchy duck on the menu tonight all over East Lothian.
