Icy!

We had some more snow overnight, much to Reg's delight. He's exhausted this evening after a lot of snowball chasing. Despite a lot of sunshine there is not much melted. The icy wind has kept it all frozen on the ground. Photo was taken this morning when I went out to meet Kath for our day at the recycle shop. It's unusual for our lane not to be gritted and cleared so I think the council maybe didn't expect this snowfall?? 
Kath and I spent four hours being ruthless, sorting things into various piles destined for other places or as a last resort the bin. It was hard, dusty work but so worthwhile when we looked at the result. There's still much to do but such a good start has been made. The most difficult part was manoeuvring the steps up and down to the bins, as they became more icy the more we used them. We were both very careful and managed the day without incident! I've done a lot of yawning this evening!
