Despite the foul weather I was all ready to persevere with getting an outdoor shot today. But when I looked at this on the way home there was a quality to it that I really liked. So today is my first Single Shot Day for a while. And also the first SOTC picture for some time.

Today was my first time using the new New Street in anger so it was always going to be interesting to see how it fared. I always buy my ticket from a 'live' ticket seller as I resent being subliminally trained to do someone else's job - if I wanted to get a job selling tickets or working a supermarket checkout I'd apply for one. Anyway, Network Rail must have acquired some knock off kit from Argos because you now have to take one of these tickets and then wait to be called forward. Then there was then an 'intermittent' fault on the card machine so I ended up being passed between cashiers.

So, in summary, you now walk a bit further from the car park, the ticket kiosks are past the barriers rather than en route to them and the service at the Costa Coffee is a bit slow. That said, it's 'Fine', 'OK', 'Adequate'. But not 'Great', 'Super', 'Smashing'.
