Derelict hotel

This is the derelict hotel at the top of the Gemmi Pass. A new building has replaced it but the old one is still standing. It is an imposing building and it is very sad to see it fall into this state.

The weather was a little against us this morning so we had a late start, a blustery walk in the new snow then a final half an hour in the lounge area enjoying the view. We too the cable car down at 11 and had a wander around Leukerbad village before driving home. Great weekend.
