Gold Hoofed Zebra Crossing A Table

Just a quiet Sunday with the usual food shop and a swift pint afterwards.
Today's recommended photographer, who I'm sure I've mentioned before, is Harry Gruyaert. He's my all time favourite and his images of his home country of Belgium are just so brilliant. He has an ambivalent attitude to his country of birth but it doesn't show in his images - they are filled with beauty, regret, melancholy, the pull of home and the joy of taking photographs. To me he is the European Eggleston but has a heart bursting with all the conflicting emotions of a flawed human being.
