Emerald Pool

Needed a bit of sunshine to make the water properly emerald, but it was very beautiful. It’s up in the mountains and it was raining quite hard, but warm and humid.  Very tropical.
We saw a couple of other waterfalls, Spanny’s and Jacko’s . All really quiet today because there are no cruise ships in town. Wonderfully peaceful jungle waterfalls all to ourselves, with a driver/ guide.
Extra shows some of the local plants, a freshwater amphibious crab scuttling along the footpath, a little typical village, the canopy of leaves, coffee flowers. Not necessarily in that order but I’m sure you can work it out.
Today is LooseCanon’s birthday so we’re going to a lovely restaurant later. Dominica’s carnival starts today so we’re going to see what’s going on.
