I read this post with interest and was impressed that a young man could save the show by being ready to step-up. As I was visiting a theatre and sitting at the back, I wondered if I should wear lots of makeup and a loud dress - just in case the star didn't turn up. On balance I thought The Glenn Miller Orchestra wouldn't need a pantomime dame.
The show was great, but Mr Miller didn't turn up, apparently he had gone missing!
