Beardy
Cursed shutter lag - goddamn and blast it all the way to Hell!
This is number 12 in my series The Regulars. It's also proof that I still haven't got the better of shutter lag - compare number eight.
The man who is (partly) visible to the left of the frame is Beardy. Characteristics: suit (and a raincoat if the weather isn't great); briefcase; walking stick (carried as an affectation, not a mobility aid - he has a purposeful stride and clearly has no trouble walking); beard.
However, the most characteristic characteristic of Beardy is that he is scary. Scarier even than Dr Death or Newspaper Man. He does not have what I perceive as a kind face. He has a scary face. I'm quite glad that you can't see his scary face in this picture. I'm also quite glad that I got out of this blip alive. He was giving me a glare. Think basilisk. I was quaking in my brogues. The absence of camera shake here is a testament to the Lumix's image stabilisation. I fully expected him to confront me and tear me to shreds, verbally or physically or, probably, both. I am not going to try to blip him again to show you what he looks like. I love you all and I hate to let you down, but I also value my life. If I wanted to live dangerously, I'd go bungee-jumping or bear-baiting or crocodile-cuddling.
I imagine that Beardy is a lawyer. If he isn't, he should be. I'd want him on my side.
I hate to say it, but I'm running out of subjects for this series. I expect that entries will become less and less regular as time goes on... although the joy of regulars is that as each one disappears, so another comes along in their place :-)
I'm going to try to relax now and get over this morning's near-death experience. I wish all blippers a great evening!
