Soggy feet

Woken up by the wind and heavy rain battering on my velux roof window I made an early decision to give ParkRun a wide berth. I put the large chicken I had defrosted into the oven encased inside a cook in bag, prepared breakfast and medication for auntie, hoovered downstairs and put on a load of laundry before a very squelchy 8 mile trail run along the riverside. Nuthatches, great spotted woodpeckers and flashy bullfinches were the most colourful birds I was fortunate to see.
