Avon Falls

I met up with my pal John at The Church House Inn at Rattery. We had a good meal and a natter and then we went up to Shipley Bridge on Dartmoor and walked up the River Avon (no, not that one, the Devon one). It runs from the middle of the moor into the Avon reservoir then down through South Devon to Bantham on the coast. From the dam it drops about a hundred metres down to Shipley Bridge in a series of falls. After the rain we've had there was a lot of water coming down.
