Neighbours

Jem is very open about her early struggles. Orphaned as a toddler. Separated from her many siblings. Shuffled from home to home. She got into a fair bit of trouble during her adolescence. Gangs, truancy. At some point she took stock, saw the dangerous path she was treading. She wanted to make a change and she knew it would have to be about education. She moved in with her wonderful Aunty, pulled closer to her twin sister. Took up dance. She has focused all her energy on her studies and her predicted grades are all As. She just got news about an A* in her dance practical. She was buzzing with delight.
