Shift change @RSPBMinsmere

The weather today started quite well, but as the day progressed it got colder, windier and wetter. We went to Minsmere and had a great day, seeing lots of birds including bittern, marsh harrier, hobby, swift, swallow, common terns. Pete saw bearded tits but we'll gloss over that. :-/.
Avocets are one of the most numerous birds there now and I caught this pair in mid-changeover at their nest immediately in front of one of the hides.
Sitting watching the rain from the warmth and comfort of our holiday cottage now and hoping tomorrow will be a bit better.
