Raincoat wearing thin

Poor Larry. Too much rain. It took me ages to find him for photographs today, I called & called in the pouring rain. Finally he came down, but he looked such a sorry state. Then later I called again, called for 20 minutes in the continuing pouring rain. I gave up & was just taking my coat off & locking the outside door when I heard a warble, a whistle in the garage, I opened the door & there he was, perching on the workbench totally drenched, but so happy he hadn't missed me & he sang & he sang & he sang, & I gave him loads of worms chatting away to him too :) Feathery xxx's
