Hot pot
Somehow I managed to destroy my memory card. I think it is from all of this Blipping! Originally I thought it was my computer and then I realised that these cheap plastic things have a shelf life and mine expired.
Ok, the second day back in the office is certainly better than the first. But I still had not time to run out and get a new memory card during the day which meant that I had to experiment at home with a very long exposure, an old tea pot and a candle. And boy did I have fun. If I were more of a perfectionist I would try to improve on the fire coming from the spout but this is close enough after a long day.
So our newly elected Vice President is now in the Hague as they continue to try and convict him of crimes against humanity. A rowdy group of protesters were outside parliament today with numerous pigs tatoo-ed with the word MPig (not MP or 'member of parliament'). They were protesting against the MPs who just came into office and now wish to have a raise even though they already earn 45 times more the average Kenyan (a BBC statistics, not mine...apparently in the states our politicians only earn 4 times the average American). I had to laugh when the lead protester said that MPs have been in parliament for only a few weeks and have yet to do 'squat'. The protesters were disbursed by tear gas but BBC were shocked to find that the pigs did not appeared to be moved in the slightest by the noxious gas...
Hope you had a good Tuesday
