Striped

Of the stones I pick up on the beach many are of two different colours, particularly if they are striped.

This one's a puzzle because there are stripes running in two directions. I assume the two quartzite bands formed during the original settling of sediment and the white and pink from a later intrusion. I could be entirely wrong, but it makes an interesting paperweight.
