My first run this week with a slight detour from my usual 6 km route so as to avoid the huge puddles on Moorbottom Lane.

The top part of Scholes Lane is unmade and rocky and, at times when I was running uphill into the headwind, it felt like I was just running on the spot.

The dry, sunny weather didn't last too long. The rain arrived this afternoon.

I've managed to negotiate a 30% reduction in the price I was quoted yesterday for bulk LPG and a 39% reduction in the standing charge for our new house in Wales.
