Quivering birch

I put my recently purchased waterproof jacket through it's paces this morning, along with the waterproof overtrousers & wellies, standard walking wear at the mo. I had a telephone chat with a doctor at Mum's surgery while on the heath, the rain had eased off fortunately. A very productive chat which resulted in wee, & bloods this coming Monday, face to face appointment with Mum on Thursday. Indie & I arrived back home before the next downpour, a few bits of litter to dispose of from my litterpicks on the way back into the village. We had coffee & a chat, then I split the pack of chicken joints, bagged up & into the freezer, followed by some of the sliced ham, leaving out some slices for Mum to use today. I took her some leeks from the allotment which she likes to wrap with ham, cover with cheese sauce & bake.
I dropped off unwanted Xmas pressies - chutneys, shortbread, & a Terry's choc orange to the Community Fridge.
After lunch I did the hems on the second pair of new trousers of Mum's, then did the ironing.
Currently enjoying a cider while watching The Chase.
