Angle shades moth

I am just back from walking the dogs. Very windy but only a few drops of rain. I notice that a lot of ditches at the edge of the roads are very full and near to overflowing after yesterday’s heavy rain.
My blip photo today is an Angle shades moth. Very beautiful and intricate markings. We found the big chunky bright green caterpillar on a plant back in October. I fed it some leaves as we were curious to see what type of moth it was. After a few weeks it pupated and a few more weeks and then this morning there was this beautiful moth :-)
