Flower at Martin Mere

No idea what this flower is but it looked nice and colourful in the rain today.

There are two groups of people here at Martin Mere, the serious bird watchers with all their gear out in the hides, and the families and day trippers who mostly stay around the visitor centre.

We are somewhere between the two, having both the binoculars and the children! So we go to the hides until the kids have had enough, then back to play tag in the play area and feed the ducks (and ourselves). A good compromise!

Lovely views today of avocets on the nest and their cute little chicks. (too far away for my camera unfortunately)
