Great Barrier Motif

Today was back to the usual Sunday food shop for the first time since the festive period - but of course this also meant we could return to The Horseshoes for a post shopping pint. Hurrah!
The weather was really grim again today - cold, windy and with heavy downpours but the pints cheered us up and we decided to stop off in Maidstone for quick walk along the riverfront and to try to get a few shots for blip.
I'd like to say this was some huge architectural feature with a mighty barrier but it's actually the top of an outdoor table tennis table, rather curiously located right next to the River Medway - I just liked the metallic net with its hexagonal shapes (they look slightly like coral if you squint - o.k that may be pushing it a bit!), the pool of water on the table with the reflections of the sky, the marks scrawled across the surface and the way they combined to make such an abstract image.
