Impressive

Today's dog walk was shorter because I had to be back for a meeting at 10:00 with my colleague J and our prospective superstar PhD student. I was pleased that J found him to be as impressive as I'd said.

Meanwhile, we failed to get the contract that I'd felt was ours to lose. Hopefully I'll get a chat with the boss of the company to find out why. I've stopped getting disappointed by downturns, as life's good in the moment and, like lots of people, I'm increasingly living in the moment. It also gives us time to do other things.
