January

I noticed a few people Blipping their 2023 calendars over the last few days and I decided to join in! This is one Brian bought me for Christmas which shows the phases of the moon. I have another with pictures of kittens. You can write appointments, etc. on it easier than on this one.

I tried to find out if the two-headed serpent is significant for the month or if it is a mythological creature or legend. It's not like the Greek Amphisbaena or those that feature in Aztec art - their heads are at opposite ends of the body.

The search turned up photos of real snakes like this one - they are rare, but it does happen - rather like conjoined twins. They do not fare well fending for themselves in the wild but thrive in captivity. The real ones are very sweet!

Apologies to anyone with a snake phobia. I'd made a snake face my thumbnail, then thought better of it - as I don't like too much unavoidable spider detail I should not post unavoidable snake detail!

Today I've been over to my Dad's - apart from a headache which has almost gone now but was very bad yesterday he is OK. We actually got another drawer decluttered today!

I am really tired this evening. Since coming home I have tidied up and hoovered. The Shark Hoover picks up so well and I even like the sound it makes. Every vacuum cleaner I've had previously has sounded like a jet taking off, but this one I'd describe as relaxing white noise!

Pizza for tea tonight. Nice and simple!
