a day in the office

I’ve spent most of the day on the computer.  Surprisingly productive.  Even got a blip out of it.

Sold a camera - now down to two.  No plans to increase this number, especially as I use the phone such a lot nowadays.

Sold a guitar - again now down to two.  (Strictly speaking, I sold one and bought another - still down to two though)

Very easy transactions (much easier than Flea-bay).  In each case the buyers arranged collection and address labels, and in the case of the guitar - a suitable container.  Money in bank within two days.

Then bought train tickets from Amsterdam to Paris for our trip in May.  This was a bit more tricky.  Tickets for our chosen date were not released until this morning.  Signed up for an on-line alert which came at 10.00am.  I logged on at about midday and ALL the standard price tickets for the direct trains that day had gone.  Who are these people?  Why do they all want to go to Paris on that day?

It took a bit of jiggling and a bit of help from The Man in seat 61.  Train now sorted.

Just tickets for the Vermeer exhibition and Monet’s Garden at Giverney to get now, but that can wait for another day.

I don't know how I found time to go to work.
